Hey there, my Friend,
One of the most powerful things about hypnosis is this: even when we know how to do some of the work on our own, there are moments when we need a guide.
That was true for me last week. I was in a session, working with a facilitator on an issue that had been showing up in my life. What I uncovered surprised me: the root wasn’t mine, it belonged to my father. In that moment, being supported by someone else, instead of guiding myself, made all the difference. Each of us has different strengths. Sometimes healing flows more freely when someone else is holding the space.
What happened next was something I will never forget: In the session was able to release something for my dad that, in turn, released something in me. I saw him truly joyful for the first time. I saw him happy in a way I hadn’t even imagined before.
And the most remarkable part? My dad passed away in 2020.
Through hypnosis, I connected with him in a way that felt real, was healing, and filled with love. Hypnosis allows us to interact across time and space. It opens the possibility for repair, understanding, and grace. Even when those conversations aren’t possible in regular life.
An Invitation to a Father’s Love
This Father’s Day, I’d like to offer you a short visualization practice. Whether your father is still living or has passed on, whether you’re close or estranged, this short practice is an invitation to receive something you may have longed to hear.
In your mind’s eye, invite your father to stand in front of you. Imagine him saying:
- “I’m so proud of you. You’ve become such a wonderful human being. I’m honored to be your father.
- “You’ve lived through so much, and I admire your strength.
- “I love you, and I’ve learned so much from our relationship.”
If those words are familiar to you, let them land again with love. If they feel new or hard to imagine, take a breath and notice what comes up. The healing doesn’t require you to force belief, only that you open the door to possibility.
Let this experience wrap around you like a warm blanket. You now carry this with you and can return to it anytime.
If You Would Like Support on Your Journey
And if this exercise feels too far away or hard to access right now, that’s okay. This is the kind of support I offer in my sessions: gentle, guided, personal.
If you’d like help getting into the headspace to receive words like these, or speak your own, you’re welcome to book a free, 30-minute guided session with me.
